The enemy has established itself in Zelenivka. In addition, it has established itself on the eastern bank of the Sukhya Yaly River near the village, which already makes it possible to advance to Ulakly along the river, bypassing the problem of crossing it from the north.
In addition to the fact that it is 3 km to the Kurakhovo-Zaporizhzhia highway, it is also an opportunity to maneuver both towards Dachne and to the rear for those who are south of Kurakhovo.
But, according to our data, the enemy will probably prefer a logistical "prize" instead of counter-battles with units coming out of Kurakhovo. Although, according to the information received, the breakthrough to Zelenivka cost the Russians a high price. But the enemy's replenishment and regrouping in one area is taking place at the expense of a sharp activation in another. Therefore, we expect in the near future an intensification of hostilities on the "calm" line for a week - Stari Terny-Sonsivka.
Once again, the enemy gains versatility through breakthroughs and numerical superiority, while narrowing the corridor of opportunity for the Defense Forces.
Update 21 December 2024
In the Zelenivka area, the enemy has accumulated reserves, regrouped, and taken active action. In particular, it has captured several landings on the eastern bank of the Sukhyi Yaly River and is conducting an offensive in that area in the general direction of Ulakla. In addition, west of Zelenivka it has advanced in the direction of the Rozlyv settlement.
Near Stary Terny in the general direction of Shevchenko it has advanced along the Vovcha River to the settlement. In this area, it probably believes that advancing to Shevchenko will give more tactical preferences with their subsequent transformation into operational success. Here, the lack of advancement from Sontsivka to Petropavlivka served as a deterrent factor. Otherwise, the enemy would have already established itself in Shevchenko.
In Kurakhove, the enemy has reached Zaporizhia Avenue and is moving along it from Mechnikov in the general direction to the cemetery south of the TPP. Thus, it is trying to create conditions for bypassing the industrial zone from the south. The enemy is not stupid, he is in no hurry to storm the TPP and is processing it with all types of artillery. Recently, he has transferred the entire burden of air strikes to the west of the city, thereby indicating his priorities.
In general, now the occupiers have created such conditions that the fate of the city will be decided not in the city, but in the triangle of the Shevchenko-Dachne-Ulakly district.
