Even during war, culture can thrive. Deep in a basement in central Kharkiv, we attended a mélange of classical concerto music performed by some of the remaining artists performing classical music in the city. The theatre, opera house and classical music hall are all closed, damaged or destroyed by Russian attacks. Nevertheless the resilient people of Kharkiv find a way to keep on expressing their musical tastes, even if it now has to be at anonymous locations underground.
